What a Success!
Our First Annual Fiddle Retreat has come and gone!   Over 40 students advanced their music skills, including a good number of folks of all ages who tried their hand at the fiddle for the first time ever!   The dance was just what we hoped for - a dance floor packed all evening, with high energy and lots of fun.

Thanks to all who attended, to our instructors, to our sponsors, to Gateway Middle School, and to all who helped make this happen!

The Gateway Fiddle Retreat is a 2 day all ages, all abilities fiddle and cultural workshop located in beautiful Meadow Lake, SK.  March 9/10 2024.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Fiddle skills and a whole lot more

Our goal is to give opportunity to people that want another opportunity to learn and hone their skills, as well as give folks who wouldn't otherwise have the chance to try out fiddling an opportunity to give it a try and see if they like it.  We will also be hosting an old time family dance on the Saturday evening which will have a whole host of entertainment and square dance calling, and great family fun.

​Alright we have talked about keeping costs low for families....What are the fees for this workshop?   
Workshop fees for the weekend are only $50!!!!! and that includes the registrants ticket for the evening dance on Saturday.   This fee does NOT include any meals or snacks.   Saturday snacks and lunch will be your responsibility, however we will be having a cash only canteen run by our local 4-H club, and you are also welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks.  There is also a variety of fast food and eat in restaurants here in Meadow Lake that may suit as well.
